Coffee and Adventure Inspiration
Big views, Big Smiles, Mountain Biking Wanaka New Zealand
We had a few days spare, so we decided to jump on a plane and head down to Wānaka for some mountain biking. Because, obviously, when you have a few free days, the sensible thing to do is go somewhere with mountains and spend most of the time riding down them. Our first stop was Sticky Forest, right on the edge of Wānaka. It’s a network of more than 20 trails winding through the pine forest, with everything from flowing berms and rollers to steeper, more technical sections.
Kayaking the Malborough Sounds New Zealand
Kayaking the Malborough Sounds New Zealand. We set off from Picton and paddled towards Davies Bay Campsite, where we spent our first night. The Marlborough Sounds are pretty spectacular from a kayak. You’re right down at water level, surrounded by steep green hills, quiet bays and little pieces of coastline that you simply can't appreciate in the same way from land.
Why we love our work
People often ask why we started Wild Sky Coffee. The answer is simple we're outdoor people who love great coffee. We know the feeling of reaching a summit after a tough climb, waking up in a quiet campsite, or sitting beside a lake with nowhere else to be. Those moments deserve more than instant coffee. They deserve something special, and helping people create those moments is what gets us out of bed every morning.
